Whether you have an account or not, you may also send us an email at info@brightestbio.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. If you have an account, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Please note that you may only make a data access or data portability disclosure request twice within a 12-month period. If you choose to contact us directly, you will need to provide us with: (a) enough information to identify you (e.g., your full name, address and customer or matter reference number); (b) proof of your identity and address (e.g., a copy of your driver’s license or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill); and (c) a description of what right you want to exercise and the information to which your request relates. We are not obligated to make a data access or data portability disclosure if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information or is someone authorized to act on such person's behalf. Any personal information we collect from you to verify your identity in connection with you request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.

10. Rights of California Residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

  • Application. In addition to the information contained in this Policy, this Section applies solely to California residents, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”). This Section applies to “personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) that we collect on or through the Website and through other means. Information required to be disclosed to California residents under the CCPA regarding the collection of their personal information that is not set forth in this Section is otherwise set forth in this Policy. This Section does not apply to business information that does not constitute personal information This Section does not apply to current or former employees of the Company, independent contractors, or job applicants.
  • CCPA Disclosure Requirement. The CCPA requires that we disclose information regarding the categories of personal information and sensitive personal information that we have collected about California Consumers, the categories of sources from which we collect personal information, the business or commercial purposes (as each of those terms is defined by the CCPA) for which we collect personal information, and the categories of parties to whom we disclose personal information.   • “Sharing” Information for Advertising. Under the CCPA, “sharing” is defined as the targeting of advertising to a consumer based on that consumer’s personal information obtained from the consumer’s activity across websites. Under Nevada law, certain Nevada consumers may opt out of the sale of “personally identifiable information” for monetary consideration. “Personally identifiable information” includes first and last name, address, email address, phone number, Social Security Number, or an identifier that allows a person to be contacted either physically or online. We do not engage in such activity; however, if you are a Nevada resident who has purchased goods or services from us, you may submit a request to opt out of any potential future sales under Nevada law.

  • Security Measures Implemented. We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to access it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach.
